It is the end of semester! When I was in NS, every time when I was outfield, I will be telling myself "fuuck this shiit I would rather be studying, I'm gonna study so hard in Uni to rise above the fked up officers and underqualified specs." Now that I am 1 semester away from graduating, I say the same thing but a shorter version :" fuuck this shit."
A quick review of this semester and a few conclusions:
1) I got carried. Hard.
2) NM modules are a fking joke.
3) I got carried. So Hard.
4) Gonna get lung cancer from FYP.
1) The only reason I am not retaining/expelled in/from SOC is because I am being carried. This sem I had no clue what was going on in CS4243 and 1 of my group member finished the project on his own and had one of the highest scores against groups of ah nehs and ah tiongs. He has carried me from year 1 to year 4 and I swear in my FYP acknowledgement section I will honor his ass with my heart and soul. Not only CS4243. CS2102 project I also got carried, I only wrote the report which was simple as fk, my group members camped overnight in school while I stayed at home and the project scored full marks. Lmao. Carried. So hard. Zoe says its because I have good people skills. I say its because I am lucky. <= will prove this point further on.
2) NM2210. No exam. Therefore I did not go for a single lecture the whole semester. 2 individual projects + 1 group project. I spent 4 hours on my individual project and about 30 mins on the group project ( same story, got carried ). Amazingly, my C5 GP managed to get me an A for both projects ( thanks to Zoe for proof reading <3 ) and my group mates from arts ensured my A for the group project. 5 hours of work and 0 lectures attended is enough to get an A. NM modules are a joke. Actually you can tell for urself how bad my writing is just by reading this post.
3) FYP is such a fked up requirement. I can barely understand the things that Professors are teaching me for 4 years, yet I am expected to learn Android Programming/ Augmented Reality/ Image Recognition Implementation and Windows Programming all by myself? Dream on la. Every week I dread walking into my Prof's office, its so tiring to keep coming up with things to say when I actually have nothing to show. Yet I managed to get good comments from both my supervisor as well as evaluator in my CA Interim Presentation. Smoking level over 9000.
The reason for this title is because I am now an owner of property in Singapore. muahahaha. Zoe and I managed to get the Tampines BTO! Despite having a fked up queue number of 222/215, we managed to get a 5th floor unit that has a good position! Lucky much? Furthermore, I posted a troll status on facebook saying I will not be saying which unit I got since I did not want to share 4D money. Guess what? We really won 4D! Even though its just a consolation price, the luck is really overwhelming. Once again since I am not working, Zoe will be carrying me! Lucky max.
Some useful reminders/tips:
1) Apply only if you are sure he/she is "the one"
2) He/She can carry you lol
3) There are alot of grants/schemes that are available but they are mostly for resale flats. For direct sales we only have the HLE (Loan) and the combined income grant.
4) Combined income grant is if the couple has a combined income of less than $5000, the couple will be eligible for a grant of up to 30k. So basically the best time to get this grant is if one person is working and the other is not. Although I do know friends who earn more den $5000 alone lol.
5) Couples who apply before 30 years old can split the down payment to 5% (1 month from application) and 5% ( when the house is ready about 3-4 years ). If you are above 30, you will have to pay 10% down payment within 1 month from the application which is about 40k.
At the point when I signed the documents, it was pretty surreal. 7 years ago I would not have seen this moment happening. Yet I think I am extremely blessed with luck to be able to apply for a house with Zoe. I quote Yuxuan " It is very rare and lucky to find someone like Zoe who would stick through thick and thin with you " I fully agree. Not so much of thin since I am fk fat right now but I do agree that I am really pretty damn lucky.
Tenant /Occupier /Applicant 2 : I love you <3
